Trish Cooper, L.Ac.
Trish's academic experience began at Michigan State University where she studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for three and a half years, before switching her major to Kinesiology. While she enjoyed hunkering down in the Biochemistry lab, it was the study of anatomy and the mechanics of human movement that gave her a passion for understanding the human body. In 2015, she graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and a specialization in Health Promotion from Michigan State University.
In 2016, she moved to the beautiful state of Oregon to study acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. One of the main focuses during her academic career has been investigating acupuncture's potential role in mitigating the negative effects of mild traumatic brain injuries, and its use in treating acute and chronic pain.
In her free time, Trish enjoys practicing and teaching Taiji, hiking and camping with her dog Maddux, taking a trip to the shooting range, reading a good book, and getting creative in the kitchen.
